Album Info:From May 13 through June 14, 2013, Metra replaced ties along the SouthWest Service line between Orland Park and Manhattan. For the duration of the work, afternoon trains #815 and #830 did not operate south of 179th Street Station. The tie gang would depart 179th Street Yard after the morning rush and work their way south until about 4 PM, when they would head back to the yard. The next morning they would continue where they left off until they reached Manhattan. This album shows equipment stored at 179th Street Yard, the tie gang in action at Francis Road in Mokena, and an inspection train after the work was done.
