A nearly empty (except for the small cuts of cars in the track furthest to the left) CSX yard in Dothan is a rarity. The bridge in the distance is North Reeves Street and passes over the yard near the yard office. I don't think I have ever seen the yard this empty. |

I have to give it to the City of Dothan and Houston County, they really did a good job of renovating the old ACL passenger depot. It now serves as the hub of local bus service but retains it's railroad look and feel. All we need now is the South Wind to come sliding in for a station stop. |

NS power is seen on a coal train headed for Panama City FL. This is former CofG/NS trackage that is now operated by the Chattahoochee Bay Railroad, a unit of GWI. Coal trains to Panama City are rare, maybe 3 or 4 a year, and the NS power usually goes all the way through to Panama City. |
