Title:  CSS 803 - Chicago South Shore & South Bend
Description:  Affectionately known as a "Little Joe" after the order for these units was cancelled by Russia by Joseph Staline, this 1949 GE double ended loco pulls a string of freight just east of the CSS shops in Michigan City, IN. Two years later, this unit will be saved from the scrap yard by the Illinois Rwy Museum in Union, IL, where it has been fully restored. Unknown photographer.

Description:  Chicago South Shore & South Bend loco #803, one of the "Little Joe" double ended units originally built by GE in 1949 for the Russian Government before Joseph Stalin cancelled the order (hence its nickname) sits forelornly at the Illinois Rwy Museum in Union, IL. It was restored to full working service and runs trips often there. Unknown photographer.
