(This is actually a reprint of an article published in the March 1941 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 28-35.) Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6713, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during April of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in August of 1944, and retired in December of 1956 after 26 years of faithful service. Also of note is a list of 28 named passenger trains which negotiate the Curve between 10:00 P.M. and 4:00 A.M., come rain or come shine!
