Owego & Harford 2211 and 2302
Title:  Owego & Harford 2211 and 2302
Description:  I learned today that some of the hoppers that have been here at the end of the line in Harford Mills are full of sand, and the others are simply here for storage. The sand is from Texas and is being used for "fracking" in nearby Pennsylvania. Usually only one engine can handle the job at this location, but considering the weight of loaded sand hoppers, two engines were needed today.

Hoppers in southbound Owego & Harford train
Title:  Hoppers in southbound Owego & Harford train
Description:  (1 of 4) I was quite intrigued to learn that the Owego & Harford has been storing empty, and loaded, hoppers at the north end of their system. Here's the first car of 32.
