The 68-0 car had been built by Fruit Growers Express in 1981 and was on its way from Fort Pickett at Blackstone, Virginia to Fort Hood, Texas. It had a LD LMT of 300,000 pounds and a light weight of 94,500 pounds, for a gross rail load of 394,500 pounds. |
