Temporary station         
Having lost a good part of the North Station Terminal to a disasterous fire, temporary quarters were set up across the river.

David Saxby Jr General Considering the loss of the North Station side pier the Sommersville temporary terminal worked really well. The day of the fire there was a sharp tower op on duty who raised the draws before the fire spread to them. Some workers had to be rescued when the draw spans lifted when too much rail & ties were removed making the counterweight out of balance. 1/2/2014 12:01:49 PM
