| Magna Carta. Here is the first of two original successive photos that I took of the "Magna Carta Special" at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Passenger Station in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 June 1961. Prominent here is the Special's lead locomotive, PRR engine #8610, an APS-24MS built by the American Locomotive Company in January of 1956 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. |
