Another shot of the drill of the IP siding shows a strip mall in Lawnside, NJ in the background. Lawnside, the oldest independent black community, was an important stop in the Underground Railroad and contains the Underground Railroad Museum at the Peter Mott house. Escaping slaves could used trains in the South by crossdressing and having mulattoes pass for white. |
