One of nine GP38-2s (CEIX 100-108) owned by Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. for coal train service. Units went back to lessor EMD, became UP 2390-2398, later UP 890-898.

Mike Woodruff General I think the lettering was an afterthought. I was told they were delivered without lettering, and Conrail added the "CE" (notice it's in a Conrail font and color) so the units could be properly ID'd. 1/21/2006 2:47:36 PM
