The locomotives pictured in the first two photographs are UP 3412:1. That locomotive was retired in 2001 and, after a couple of changes in ownership, became TP&W 3443 by 2022. The locomotive pictured here, and in the following photos is UP 3412:2. It was originally numbered 3806 (Builder #806053-2, 11-80) but was renumbered to 3412 on November 3, 2003. It was renumbered 1924, for a short time, in November 2014 (The point at which the pictures of 3412 on this site end). In was rebuilt to SD40N UPY 3005 in June 2015 and paired with UPY yard slug 3006. Pictures of 3005 & 3006 together can be found at another location on the rrpicturearchives site. Pictures of this unit as UP 1924 are probably rare. I have not been able to find any on the internet. Most of the information about this locomotive was obtained from Don Strack's Utah Rails site. The are a couple of informative articles about this unit, and its three sister units (Originally UP 3805, 3807 and 3808) on the Utah Rails sit
