Notching it out  Contributor's Pick!
Jamaica next!! Im getting a roll on, smoking those Alcos as I get underway for Jamaica. The LIRR painted this cab in the Worlds Fair colors of blue and orange, giving it the number 1964. It would eventually wind up as part of a day camp in Rockville Centre, and it may still be there. There was also the rear platform of a heavyweight obs that was similarly painted, it went to the camp along with the FA cab. Interestingly, by the end of the decade, FA's would be a common sight on the LIRR as power cars providing light and heat to converted MP 72's.
