Yard Work. Here is the third of four successive original photos that I took in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, during August of 1972. Shifting cars on the Westbound Hump is Penn Central engine #9020, an SW1200 switcher built by GM-EMD as Pennsylvania Railroad number "7920" in November of 1957, rated at 1,200 horsepower, and renumbered "9020" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Also visible are the PC's Samuel Rea Shop at the left and a small portion of US Route 22 at the right. |
