Nice example of a 1919 Baldwin "Santa Fe-heavy" built to the USRA standards. Specs - class E-5B, 63" diameter drivers, 30x32" cylinders, a 200 psi boiler pressure, exerted 77,715 pounds of tractive effort and weighed 394,600 pounds. The class was scrapped between 1954-60. The date, location and photographer were not listed for the photo so "guess-timations" were used. |
