| In the late 60s and early 70s, EMD had quite a catalog, and built several variations on freight units for passenger service. One of the more unusual diesels was the F 40Cs they built for Milwaukee Road commuter trains, through a couple of mass transit districts north and west of Chicago. We see one of them here on the north side of Union Station, ready to head out to the northwest suburbs. |
