| An overview of QD yard shows a few interesting items. In the foreground is a set of power that came off a Goudy coal train. A trio of UP units, no stranger to coal service out west, are not that common here. Behind them is an NS SD40-2, one of the early ones that had been an NW unit originally. In the background, thats not a P&W unit. NYSW acquired some ex P&W units as part of their lease fleet. Most of them wound up working on the NYSW for a time, including this one, presently dozing away the afternoon. The NYSW proper also is showing the flag, as a yellowjacket from BH 2 comes around the corner from Bevier St, seen under the bridge in the distance. |
