Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, during July of 1960. Shown here is PRR engine #8973, a BS-16M built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1951 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. Its crew is pulling a string of cars over the Juniata River Railroad Bridge and into the Hollidaysburg Yard. Photo taken just East of the Bedford Street Crossing and the Hollidaysburg Passenger Station. Note that one of the crew members is making a call at the HOLLY phone box at the far end of the Bridge. |
