STRT 10
The Stewartstown Railroad's 44-ton switcher looks right at home along this country railroad line. The Coudersport & Port Allegany Railroad of Coudersport, PA purchased this locomotive new from General Electric in 1946 for operation along their line in the northern part of the state. Acquired by the Stewartstown in 1972 from the Wellsville Addison & Galeton Railroad, it was unable to reach new home rails until 1985 due to damage to the Northern Central line caused by Hurricane Agnes. It is the last surviving locomotive from the long abandoned C&PA.
