This photo was taken in January of 1885 although the RRPA only accepts dates starting with 1900. According to the reverse side of this photo which appears to be a builder's photo, the loco was built by Rhode Island Locomotive Works in January of 1885. Specs listed were - 135 psi boiler pressure, 14x18" cylinders, 10,000 lb tractive effort. It was absorbed into the Southern Rwy roster as an N-2 class and eventually retired in December of 1933. |
