B&O 1302 was built by Pullman around 1920 as a "heavyweight" combine. It was used for long distance passenger trains on the Baltimore & Ohio such as the "National Limited". On April 20, 1932 the "National Limited" became the first long distance passenger train to be fully air conditioned. In 1940 B&O 1302 was modernized and was retired in 1969. Later that same year, the Central New York Chapter N.R.H.S. aquired the car. |
