PRR 8505, ES-6, 1967
Everyday. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in September of 1967. Shown here (F to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8505 and another SW-1 whose number is not recorded. #8505 was built by GM-EMD as number "9205" in April of 1949, rated at 600 horsepower, and renumbered "8505" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Dominating the distance is a portion of the PRR's Samuel Rea Shop.
