Hortonville Junction
Looking northwest at the north end of the Wiouwash State Trail, the former C&NW right-of-way, at Hortonville Junction, WI on 20 Jan. '19. The parking lot for the trail head is partially visible at right. There used to be a full wye here at Hortonville Junction. This is the approximate location of the turnout which formed the west and east legs of the wye. The north leg of the wye, beyond the tree line in the background, is still in use as a branch line operated by the CN from Appleton to New London. The Wiouwash State Trail extends 22 miles from here into downtown Oshkosh.
