PRR 5881, EP-20, #2 of 2, 1957
Meadows. Here is the second of two successive duplicate 35mm color slides via Al Chione that were taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Engine Service Tracks at Meadows Yard near Kearny, New Jersey, on 12 February 1957. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is PRR engine #5881, an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. Looks to me like it's had a "close encounter" of the third kind! ("Stoneborobranch"; #19 of 32)
