Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Passenger Station in Pemberton, New Jersey, on 24 June 1957. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5351, a K-4S built in Juniata during March of 1924 and retired in April of 1958 after 34 years of faithful service. It was the last PRR steam locomotive to pull a regularly-scheduled passenger run: Pemberton to Camden on Tuesday, 12 November 1957. ("Stoneborobranch"; #24 of 28) |
