Altoona Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by F.D. Cheney that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in March of 1962. Shown here (L to R) are General Electric U25B demonstrator units #2501, #2502, #2503, and #2504. All were built in February of 1962 and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. In this context, they're about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge with a TrucTrain heading West over the Allegheny Mountains to Conway Yard. ("PrrFan18n")

Greg Brown General In 1976, Morrison-Knudsen rebuilt this locomotive for Oregon, California & Eastern as their 7602. The rebuilding replaced the GE prime mover with an EMD 567. 9/13/2022 12:09:10 AM
