| Built by the Budd Company in 1955 as a full dome lounge car "Prairie View" for the Northern Pacific Empire Builder train. It eventually went onto the Burlington Northern roster in 1971 and them to Amtrak in 1993. Holland America Westours (WTMC) then took over control. It finally was sold to Iowa Pacific who now owns it as SLRG 1394. It's bright orange can be seen from miles away! |
