This fair quality photo taken in October of 1935 by Earl A. Elliott shows Rutland 4-6-0 ten wheeler #77 in the Montreal, Quebec, Canada yard. Built by Alco-Schenectady in June of 1912 as Rutland #2077, it was renumbered to RUT 77 in 1914. The loco was retired in October of 1951 and scrapped in November of 1951. Specs - serial #51567, class F2J, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x26" cylinders, engine weight of 211,000 lb, tractive effort of 32,429 lb. |
