Partial Caption: "Portia Mitaritono, an employee at PRR's Sunnyside Coach Yard in Long Island City, N.Y., cleans the running gear of a GG-1 electric locomotive in 1943." Partially visible here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4863, a GG-1 built in Juniata in January of 1938 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. |
