Grande Gold Coaches
Heading up the Front Range in a Ski Train consist, Coach 1007 was built by Pullman in 1910 for operation over the newly completed Western Pacific (WP 334). The car was owned by the D&RG. Upon the bankruptcy and split of the WP/D&RGW, 334 returned to the Rio Grande and was numbered 944 in 1924. In 1937, the car was rebuilt to Coach 979. In 1955, it was modernized and renumbered 1007. 1007 would be retired in 1968 and sold to Luria Bros. for scrap.
