General
The line south was originally B&O - line to Staunton was purchased by the CW in the 1940s, north of CW station, line north to Mt. Jackson was part of the Southern line from Manassass to Harrisonburg which the B&O had trackage rights over. The N&W purchased the CW sometime, which I am not quite clear on - think it may have been during the 1950s. Today, of course, the tracks are all Norfolk Southern.
