Built by Baldwin in August of 1917 originally as UP 2-10-2 #5007 (serial #46064. class TTT-1), the loco was converted to oil fired and renumbered UP 5525 in December of 1928. It was transferred to the LA&SL.After nearly 38 years of service, the loco was retired in June of 1955- disposition unclear but probably scrapped. Specs - 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23x28" cylinders, engine weight of 243,650 lb, tractive effort of 36,600 lb. No photographer was given for this photo. |
