Description:
Built by Alco-Brooks in July of 1912 originally as CM&StP #1869 (serial #51448). it was renumbered to #8069 in late 1912, became CMStP&P #8069 in 1927, then renumbered to 626 in 1938. After nearly 37 years of service to Milwaukee Road, it was retired in September of 1949. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 277,800 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo.
