Description:  Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, in June of 1962. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8960 and #8959. Both are BS-24M transfer switchers built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 2,400 horsepower each. Both units were constructed in October of 1951 and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service.

Description:  Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 03 September 1964. Shown here is PRR engine #8960, a BS-24M built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1951 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. It is pulling an 89-car mixed-cargo freight train into the Hollidaysburg Yards, but the crew has stopped at the Passenger Station to get permission to proceed from one signal bloc into another. The caboose is #477964.
