Description:  Here is page 16 of a 20-page cover article by Henry B. Comstock entitled "Redball Terminal." It was published originally in the November 1941 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 21. Partial Caption: "'Waiting At The Point.' A modified P-5a, ready to pull out past DAY Tower and onto the low-grade freight line via Columbia." Illustration by Mr. Henry B. Comstock. Depicted here is PRR engine #4784, a P-5A (Modified) (2-C-2) electric built by Juniata-General Electric in January of 1935, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in September of 1961 after 26 years of faithful service.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4784, a P-5A (Modified) (2-C-2) electric built by Juniata-General Electric in January of 1935, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in September of 1961 after 26 years of faithful service. The name of the Engineman pictured here is not recorded.
