Here is page 16 of a 20-page cover article by Henry B. Comstock entitled "Redball Terminal." It was published originally in the November 1941 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 21. Partial Caption: "'Waiting At The Point.' A modified P-5a, ready to pull out past DAY Tower and onto the low-grade freight line via Columbia." Illustration by Mr. Henry B. Comstock. Depicted here is PRR engine #4784, a P-5A (Modified) (2-C-2) electric built by Juniata-General Electric in January of 1935, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in September of 1961 after 26 years of faithful service.

Electric Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Columbia, Pennsylvania, in May of 1949. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4784, a P-5A (Modified) (2-C-2) electric built by Juniata-General Electric in January of 1935, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in September of 1961 after 26 years of faithful service. The name of the Engineman pictured here is not recorded.
