Description:  Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken just West of the Coaling Tipple in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1957. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3530 and two more locomotives whose road numbers are not recorded. #3530 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata during October of 1913 and retired in July of 1954 after 41 years of faithful service. Note that its main driving rods have been removed in preparation for movement to the Recycling Center.
